Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 10, 2026. We say what we collect, why, and how to get a listing changed or taken down.

1. Who is responsible

S.A.R.L. AUDOUIN REALISATIONS, 25 avenue de la Constellation, 95800 Cergy, France โ€” see our legal information.

We are established in the European Union. That means the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything described here, wherever you live. Our servers are in France, so visiting this site transfers your connection data to the EU.

Questions, requests, complaints: [email protected].

2. If you are a visitor

Categories of personal information we collect about visitors:

  • Connection data โ€” IP address, date and time, pages requested, browser and operating system. Written to server logs, kept for a limited period, used for security and to diagnose faults.
  • What you send us โ€” if you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type. Used to answer you, and nothing else. Never sold, never added to a mailing list.
  • Cookies and similar storage โ€” see section 5.

We do not ask you to create an account, and you can use the whole directory without giving us anything.

3. If you run a listed facility

A listing may include your business name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, geographic coordinates, a public rating and review count, and the services we understand you to offer. For a sole proprietor, business details can also be personal data, which is why this section exists.

Where it comes from. We did not get it from you. It comes from publicly visible business listings and from your own website. Under Article 14 GDPR we have to tell you that, and to tell you what we do with it.

Why we may hold it. Our legitimate interest in publishing a usable directory of horse boarding facilities, balanced against your interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). A directory entry is information people are actively looking for, and you can have it removed at any time โ€” which is what keeps that balance fair.

4. Reviews: what we do, and what we deliberately do not do

This is worth being precise about.

We do not publish reviews on this site. No review text, no reviewer names, no star-by-star breakdown, no review photos. You will not find them anywhere in this directory.

What we do instead: we read public reviews on our own server to work out which services a facility actually offers โ€” whether there is an indoor arena, whether lessons are available, whether there is trail access. Only the resulting short list of attributes is published.

What we keep internally: for each attribute, we store a short extract (up to 255 characters) of the sentence it was based on, together with the date. That extract is never shown on the site. It exists so that we can check our own work and correct a wrong attribute instead of guessing โ€” and so that a facility owner who tells us an attribute is wrong gets a real answer about where it came from.

We also do not republish photos from business listings.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Strictly necessary storage is used to make the site work (for example remembering a filter you selected). It needs no consent and identifies nobody.

This site does not currently display advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any advertising cookie is set.

Do Not Track. Browsers send this signal in inconsistent ways and there is no agreed standard for honouring it, so we do not rely on it. We treat your choice in our own cookie settings as the authoritative one.

6. Who else sees the data

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in exchange for anything of value. We have never done so.

Data is handled by: our host (OVH, France), our email provider for messages you send us, and โ€” only if the relevant sections above are active โ€” Google for analytics and advertising. That is the whole list.

7. How long we keep things

  • Server logs: a few months, then deleted.
  • Contact form messages: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
  • Listing data and attribute extracts: for as long as the listing is published. Removed when the listing is removed.

8. Your rights

Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you, and where it came from;
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • delete it โ€” for a facility listing, that means taking the listing down;
  • stop processing it, or object to it;
  • receive a copy in a portable format;
  • opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information. There is nothing to opt out of, because we do neither, but the right stands.

Write to [email protected]. For a listing, the facility name and city are enough. We do not charge, we do not require an account, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We aim to reply within 30 days.

California residents may use an authorised agent to make a request on their behalf. If you are in the EU or the UK and you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to your data protection authority; for us that is the French CNIL (cnil.fr).

9. Children

This directory is meant for adults looking for somewhere to board a horse. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, access to the server is restricted, and the database is not reachable from the internet. No system is perfect, and we do not pretend otherwise.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Where a change is significant โ€” new categories of data, a new recipient, advertising switched on โ€” we will say so plainly on this page rather than leave you to spot the difference.
